When is an extractor not an extractor? When it’s designed by Faber…
Ever tire of the standard, the ordinary, the everyday? The cooker hood has existed in our consciousnesses as the eternal variation on stainless steel boxing with the occasional leap in standards of noise suppression or lighting to keep us enthused.
Until now, that is. The Just offices were recently galvanised by the announcement of the arrival of Faber’s innovative “uber-contemporary” range of cooker hoods for 2011. We’re constantly on the lookout for the exemplary, the standout products: if it makes us say “wow” instantly, it’s in, no argument.
The F-LIGHT range did just that. Drawing from contemporary design trends in home pendant lighting amongst many other influences, the Italian manufacturer has created products that defy pigeonholing: form does not always have to follow function when creativity is employed.
From the literally off-the-wall hoods that masquerade as light fittings to the positively space age, Faber has something for every lover of contemporary interior design. Some are wall-installed, but defy convention with their bold futuristic presence, a million miles away from the steel boxes we have come to accept as the norm.
As we have come to expect from Faber, each extractor comes with a whole host of features: electronic controls, three extraction speed settings, spotlights and grease filters.
All we can say is: if you love the distinctive and modern in your home, check these out!
